The next Warsaw City Council Meeting is  Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Warsaw City Hall.


Water Disconnect Ordinance

Discontinuance of service; reinstatement:  If the rates or charges for such services are not paid within 60 days after rendition of the bill for services, services shall be discontinued without further notice and shall not be reinstated until all past due bills, including penalties and all other charges are paid in full.

Water Service shall be disconnected 60 days after the bill for such services have been sent or the utility bill balance exceeds $125.00. The City will dispatch a representative of the City to disconnect water and charge of $100 will be added to the balance owed.

If the City employee is dispatched to reconnect service after employee’s regular working hour, the Water Service will be charged a 4 hour overtime fee in accordance with the City employee’s current pay rate.

Customer water deposits are nonrefundable until the resident vacates the property and pays all charges in full.

The City of Warsaw Water Department is accepting debit/credit cards along with on line water bill payments.  A payment service fee is added by the Utility Bill Company pending the balance of your bill.  Go to the following address to set up your account 

Warsaw Fireworks

WARSAW FIREWORKS are July 10, 2021 at the Warsaw Fairgrounds Donations for the fireworks can be made at Hill-Dodge Bank or Warsaw City Hall!  This event is put on by volunteers and donations!!


This is a reminder, unused or expired medication can be disposed of at Warsaw City Hall, 210 North 4th Street Monday through Friday 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. No syringes are allowed.

Food Pantry Needs

The Warsaw Township Food Pantry wishes to thank all the people who have donated food and or money to the Food Pantry.  Sincere thanks also to those who volunteer and help on the give away day.  The Food Pantry distributes food every second Wednesday of the month between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. at the Bott Community Center, 705 Lafayette Street. The St Paul’s Episcopal Church Food Pantry, 240 South 4th Street, is held the third Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. For emergency requests, please call 217-575-0045. We deliver to those who are homebound or who cannot carry the food box.

The First Warsaw Presbyterian Church,  210 South 4th Street sponsors a Blessing Box located on the north side of the church by the steps.  Please feel free to take what you need.

Spring is On the Way

Once the snow starts to melt, and trees are still bare, yards with garbage and junk will be visible again.  It is time to “Spring” clean  your properties!  City Wide Clean Up is set for April 23 and 24, 2021.  A list of items will be available in the April Newsletter.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Hill-Dodge Bank and the Warsaw VFW will be on Saturday, April 3, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at  Ralston Park. Age groups are 0-4 years old, 5-7 years old, and 8-10 years old.  For more information or donations contact the VFW at 217-256-4593 or the Hill-Dodge Bank at 217-256-4224. Cash donations can be taken to the Hill-Dodge Bank for the Children’s Fund.

Preschool Screening

Where: Trinity United Methodist Church 5th and Crawford St. Warsaw, IL
When: Thursday, March 25th 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday, March 26th 8:00am-11:00am

Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling Warsaw Elementary: 217-256-4614

  • The screening is conducted for all children 3-4 years old who reside in the Warsaw school district, unless they are already enrolled in the Pre-K program.
  • The Early Beginnings Program will be conducting developmental screenings for children 0 to 3 years old this year on Thursday, March 25th, 8am-12pm. Please call to set up an appointment.
  • Children who are eligible for Kindergarten in the 2021-2022 school year and are not currently enrolled in Warsaw Pre-K, we would like to meet you! Parents, please call the elementary office by March 19th to schedule a Kindengarten screening appointment, which will be at a later date.
